We just recently released an updated design of our home pages to make it easier for the public to get answers to their top government questions. The new structure, content, and look and feel are based on data from top searches and analytics, top questions to the call center, and user behavior learned during usability testing.

The three main goals of this latest release were to:

  1. simplify the content and highlight top tasks front and center;
  2. enhance the site’s performance by getting rid of clutter and merging duplicative content; and
  3. make it easy for users to start their search with fewer clicks.

Finally, these home pages now feature a “What’s New” section with the latest content, which is also syndicated through our social media channels or agency partners.

We will monitor and continue to gather data and user feedback for future iterations of the home page, and we'll share more on how we designed and developed the new home pages in an upcoming post.
