Del.icio.us, a "social bookmarking" community, allows users to save bookmarks or favorites online rather than in folders within a Web browser. Members can organize their bookmarks by using "tags" to describe the links. "Tags" help you categorize a specific link so you can find it easier. If you choose to make your bookmarks public, "tags" allow others who are interested in the same topics as you to find your links easily. For example, someone who has bookmarked multiple Web pages that deal with dogs could tag those links with any terms they want, like "dog," "cute," "Labrador," etc.
Del.icio.us members can see how many other people have bookmarked the same pages and can look at other users' bookmark collections to find other interesting online content.

Digg users share interesting online content by submitting links to digg.com. "Diggers" (members of Digg) can vote on whether or not they like your article by "digging" it. Articles with lots of votes, or "diggs," move up higher on lists on the site's main page and topical subsection pages.
Diggers can categorize the content they submit to Digg and label it with descriptions of up to 350 characters. They can also submit comments on each content item submitted to the site.

Technorati searches, surfaces, and organizes blogs and the other forms of independent, user-generated content (photos, videos, voting, etc.). In other words, it's a search engine for information posted to the Web by ordinary people. The site allows you to track links between blogs to see if other blogs are linking to particular posts. The site also lets users track blogs that deal with specific topics.
