Entry bubble When’s the Presidential Primary in Your State?

Sign indicating that a voting polling place is a 100 feet away

It’s January 2008 and wake up people, because it’s Presidential primary time! Every time I check the news, it’s all about Presidential candidates, polls, caucuses and South Carolina, South Carolina, South Carolina.

So, do you know when your state’s Presidential primary is? I sure didn’t, so I looked it up. Whew…I’ve got some time to make up my mind. I’ve always been good about voting in general elections, but I need to do a better job of participating in the primaries too. After all, it’s my only chance to have an impact on who’s actually running for President. Are you a voter? I’m always shocked by how low voter turn-out is in our country. I like to do it—it makes me feel like I’ve been given license to complain. So mark your calendar! Get out and vote!

Hey all you government officials that are out there spending my money. I work in the dental field. I see every day, women come into our office on Medicade pregnant. Not only do WE have to pay with our tax dollars for their stupidity in getting pregnant but IWe also have to pay for their free dental care. I have 2 male children that are now 27 & 26 years old I told them that when they were in school if they got a girl pregnant that THEY were going to get a job and go to night school to support the child. Needless to say they still have never gotten anyone pregnant. It is the same way that I feel about abortions we as a people can not dictate morals but why is it my responsibility to pay for someones abortion as way of birth control or my responsibility to pay fo a 42 year old womans child and all her dental work. By the way they all come in not married but living with the other so called parent. I would like a candidate that we let me keep more of my money . If I want to help someone with dental work why cant it be elderly people that have more than ever paid their own way. They deserve it not these other people that suck off we people that try to make a honest living.

bradog14, be sure that your voice is heard and cast your vote during your state's primary and the general election in November. Remember too that it's not just important to vote for a President, but our elected officials in the US Congress and at the state and local levels have a tremendous impact on our day to day lives.
