I hope today is a day when you're gathered around with friends and family, sharing a yummy meal and lots of laughs and good times.

In the spirit of the holiday everyone here at GovGab would like to extend a big "Thank You" to all of our readers. We're thankful that you come back every day to share your thoughts with us, and we appreciate each and every comment you leave.

To make sure your holiday is the best it can be, Joanne's shared some great Thanksgiving recipe ideas and Ginger has prepped you for any holiday shopping you might tackle on Friday.

I just wanted to chime in to wish you and your families a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

Wish they had Thanksgiving in our country UK, the family gatherings are becoming something of the past. Glad to see America still upholds that tradition.

I am thankful for our service men and women who put their lives on the line so I can live in freedom.
I am thankful that I live in a country that gives me the opportunity to live in freedom.
I am thankful for everyone that works in government from the janitor to the GovGab bloggers.
I am thankful for a family that loves me and puts up with me.
I am thankful for everyone who invested their time and effort into my life. I would not be where I am without their help.
Most importantly I am thankful for a God that loves me. He sent His Son to die for me even though I do not deserve such an action.

Thanks for sharing the wonderful video! It really is heart warming to turn our thoughts to those that are giving their lives for our country, especially on Thanksgiving Day. Thank you to all men and women serving in the military and thank you to all the families that are spending this holiday season without their loved ones. It must be very difficult but worth it in the end, right? Happy Thanksgiving to all!
